Hilary Linton has practiced and taught family dispute resolution for over two decades, becoming one of Canada’s leading experts in the field.
She was a family and civil litigator for the first 14 years of her career before turning to ADR. She founded Riverdale Mediation in 2001, and nopw has four colleagues working with her, all providing excellent service at reasonable rates.

Separation and divorce is challenging and expensive. Hilary and her team take practical and proportionate approach to their work because they know that most couples just want a straightforward and fair way to resolve issues.
She and her team also interview children and provide reports on their wishes, either for their own cases or for others.
Hilary is known for her innovative and empathetic approach to client disputes. She works closely with her colleagues, focusing as a group on supporting the needs of each client to empower meaningful participation in their mediation, arbitration or parenting coordination process.

As a leader in her field Hilary has been chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s ADR section, and a Founder or Director of several dispute resolution organizations in Canada and the US. Her writing is frequently published in legal and ADR publications and she speaks regularly at conferences.

The Riverdale Training program has launched the careers of hundreds of successful family mediators, arbitrators and parenting coordinators.
Hilary works with a highly skilled team of experienced family mediators, parenting coordinators and arbitrators to design and deliver top-notch training programs, leading to certifications.
Riverdale’s training is offered asynchronously, with lectures from industry leaders on-demand and weekly tutorials live on Zoom, lead by experienced coaches.
