Maneesha Mehra is a Certified Specialist in family law, and Counsel at the firm Carson Lein LLP. Prior to attending law school at the University of Western Ontario, Maneesha completed a B.A. (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Carleton University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006, and has been practicing family law exclusively since 2008. Maneesha has extensive experience in family law, having advocated on behalf of her clients at all levels of court in Ontario, and authored materials for the successful party in several important family law cases decided by the Supreme Court of Canada.
Maneesha seeks to provide her clients with practical, creative and cost-effective solutions to, often, complex and emotionally challenging problems through the use of alternative dispute resolution or, when called for, litigation. Her practice involves all areas of family law including parenting and financial issues, with a particular focus on financial matters that intersect with corporate, tax, estates and trust law. Maneesha is also a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Toronto Superior Court of Justice, offers mediation services for all family law matters (for parties with or without counsel), and devotes as much of her spare time as possible to mentoring up and coming family law associates.
