Patrick, a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and Indigenous rights, joined W&Co. as a lawyer in 2024. He believes in an Indigenous-led approach to environmental protection and conservation.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode, he was part of the Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Moot team and the Environmental Justice and Sustainability Clinic, where he contributed to a successful request for a Regional Assessment for the Ring of Fire.
Before joining W&Co., Patrick served as legal counsel at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, focusing on lands and protected areas, and ensuring the Crown fulfilled their Duty to Consult and Accommodate obligations.
Patrick is committed to protecting Indigenous Peoples’ ways of life and their Aboriginal and treaty rights. He envisions a future where environmental sustainability, and Indigenous rights are mutually respected and prioritized.
