Daniel Walker obtained his LLB from the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2013.
Mr. Walker is fluent in German, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa in Commerce (International Management).
Mr. Walker brings a wealth of experience to Polten & Associatesaniel. Prior to law school, he was employed with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) in Ottawa as a Senior Policy Advisor, where he acquired extensive knowledge of government operations .
During his law studies, Mr. Walker was employed by the in-house legal department of Rogers Communications, Canada’s largest mobile operator, as well as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
He completed his articling placement with a regulatory body where he drafted regulations, contracts, policies, procedures and briefing materials. He assisted with corporate secretary duties for the organization, and with court and tribunal filings.
Current Focus
Mr. Walker provides our legal team with corporate law, regulatory and administrative law advice.
He also focuses on assisting in the following areas of law: domestic and international litigation; cross-border commercial law; complex cross-border family and estate matters; complex legal translations; and other cross-border legal services.
