Samantha Chousky is a senior family law lawyer and partner at Carson Chousky Lein LLP. She graduated from York University in 1993 with a B.A. (Honours Psychology) and from Osgoode Hall Law School with an LLB in 1996. Samantha has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since her call to the Ontario Bar in 1998.
Samantha brings the same thoughtful, creative and practical approach to all of her cases. Samantha is highly empathetic and attentive to the specific circumstances and needs of her clients. She is skilled at guiding her clients through their legal process, and in assisting her clients to achieve solutions through negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation.
In her litigation practice, Samantha has been counsel on cases at all levels of court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Samantha has extensive experience in all areas of family law, including child and spousal support, property division (including complex corporate structures, pensions and trusts), and high conflict parenting disputes.
Samantha has been appointed as a Dispute Resolution Office for the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto and Newmarket.
Samantha is certified as a Parenting Co-ordinator.
