James is an experienced transactional and corporate/commercial
practitioner, having trained and practiced both in Ontario and with
Afridi & Angell in Dubai for many years. He is well regarded by
clients for his pragmatic approach and commercial awareness,
success in complex negotiations, and for his exceptionally serviceoriented attitude. James represents clients of all sizes and across
many industries. He has developed significant subject matter
expertise in a number of sub-specializations, most notably IT
contracting, trusts, and estate planning, and is frequently sought
after for his advice in these areas.
James spearheaded the firm’s initiative to establish its Toronto
office, which he now heads, taking advantage of the firm’s many
Canadian ties and bringing the Afridi & Angell service standard to
Canadian clientele.
