Vickash (Vick) Balkaran is a Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Prior to pursuing his legal studies, Vick was a Sales Manager at a prominent Canadian financial institution.
Vick commenced his Bachelor of Arts degree at York University with a major in law and society. He completed his four-year honours degree in just 3 years, and graduated with distinction (Cum Laude). He was also on the Dean’s Honour List for the duration of the program and was subsequently invited to join an honour society for academic excellence.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Vick was awarded a full scholarship to complete a Master of Arts degree in political science at York University. Upon completing his Master of Arts degree, Vick was granted entrance into the Juris Doctor degree program at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law.
In law school Vick was a co-contributor for a publication written by one of his law professors. During his final year he also completed a major research paper on police interviewing techniques and wrongful convictions.
