Practice Description –
With a focus on commercial litigation Mr. Weir has worked with clients ranging from small and medium businesses regarding simple contract cases and shareholder disputes to major complex litigation such as the Greymac Trust and Dome Petroleum matters.
He is a recognized expert in commercial litigation. He wrote the commercial litigation column for Canadian Lawyers Weekly for 10 years, and frequently contributes articles to the Advocate’s Brief, the publication of the Advocate’s Society of Ontario. As well, he has co-authored Critical Concepts of Canadian Business Law, a text which is widely used in business schools across Canada. He is the chair of the Technology Task Force of the Advocates Society and is a former instructor in civil litigation in the Bar Admission course run by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
A frequent guest lecturer, he has spoken at a variety of schools of business, and law schools.
